Harding University Hosts 91st Annual Lectureship

Harding University’s 91st Annual Bible Lectureship will be held on campus Sept. 28-Oct. 1. Christians from across the country will join together for a period of spiritual growth and fellowship under the theme “Return! Studies in Ezra, Nehemiah and Esther.”

The annual Celebration of Ministry Dinner will take place in the Heritage Cafeteria at 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 29 and will include current and retired ministers, elders and their spouses. Dan Williams, vice president for church relations, will be the keynote speaker on the theme, “The Joy of Ministry.”

College Church of Christ will host the annual women’s day program on Sept. 29 with a special luncheon and a wide range of topics and discussions geared toward women.

With a lineup of approximately 150 classes throughout the four-day conference, attendees will learn from a variety of speakers on topics surrounding the biblical books of Ezra, Nehemiah and Esther. Chinese and Spanish Bible classes and lectures will also be offered.

David Young of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Sept. 30, 7 p.m.
Mike Tune of Falls Church, Virginia, Oct. 1, 11 a.m.
B. Chris Simpson of Memphis, Tennessee, Oct. 1, 7 p.m.
Student speakers will lecture on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 and include:

Shelby Coble, a senior Bible and ministry major from Louisville, Kentucky
Botham Jean, a senior accounting major from Castries, Saint Lucia
Sara Sims, a senior early childhood education major from Murfreesboro, Tennessee
Tyler Newton, a junior exercise science major from Apopka, Florida
Kelby Czerwonka, a junior marketing major from West Plains, Missouri
Stanley Winters, a senior psychology major from Roseville, California
Kelly Donaldson, a senior nursing major from Spring, Texas
Philip Habegger, a senior missions major from Memphis, Tennessee
The Harding Academy Chorus and Harding University’s Chorus, Concert Choir, Chamber Singers, Good News Singers, and Belles and Beaux will all be sharing their musical talents with performances throughout the week.
