Ozark Health Scheduled to Offer Free Conference: “Stroke 101” Nov 9

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) will be hosting a video-conference designed for anyone who is interested in learning more about stroke.   The presentation is entitled, “Stroke 101:  What You Need to Know” and will be held on November 9, 2010, from 4 – 5 p.m. at Ozark Health Medical Center.  .  Hosted by Dr. Salah Keyrouz, a neurologist and stroke specialist at UAMS, this presentation will cover several topics, including what happens in your brain during a stroke, what are some warning signs and risk factors, and how the emergency response system is accessed.  Those who attend will be able to participate in a question and answer session with Dr. Keyrouz and receive information to take home.
