Former Chicago singer and bassist Peter Cetera was born September 13, 1944. While attending a concert in 1967, Cetera was impressed by a jazz-rock band dubbed The Big Thing. He joined the outfit soon after and the band changed it's name to The Chicago Transit Authority (later shortening the name to simply Chicago). CTA would release their first album in 1969 and Cetera would depart for a solo career in 1985. As a solo artist, he has collected a pair of number one singles and charted with four other singles in the Billboard Top 40. More than 25 years after leaving Chicago, Cetera still appears cool to the notion of a reunion.
